Job summary

Charge Nurse on the nursing team at Arbury Court, a secure service for adult women run by Elysium Healthcare. The post supports the Ward Manager in leading care, supervising staff, and coordinating on-call rotas and ward budgets.

Registration as an RMN or RNLD with NMC and a DBS check are required. The role focuses on clinical leadership, governance, and developing an engaged multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• NMC registration as RMN or RNLD and a current practising certificate.
• Experience leading nursing teams in secure settings is desirable.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Support the Ward Manager to lead the nursing team in delivering high-quality care to adult women in medium and low secure and PICU settings
• Provide clinical supervision to staff across the ward and supervise all nursing staff effectively
• Coordinate the on-call service with the senior nurse and Ward Manager
• Manage ward budgets
• Empower recovery and lead care teams, acting as a role model to the nursing team
• Provide clinical leadership and expertise, and guidance for a unified service and engaged workforce
• Ensure high standards within the clinical governance framework
• Act as an expert resource on nursing care and hold a key role in the multidisciplinary team
• Create a positive, collaborative environment that supports staff welfare and training
• Take charge of the ward in the Ward Manager's absence

Charge Nurse on the nursing team at Arbury Court, a secure service for adult women run by Elysium Healthcare. The post supports the Ward Manager in leading care and supervising staff, and includes co-ordinating the on-call rota and managing ward budgets. Settings are medium and low secure and PICU wards for women with personality disorder and mental health conditions, and the post covers the ward in the Ward Manager's absence. Registration as an RMN or RNLD with NMC and a DBS check are required.

• Provide clinical supervision to staff across the ward and utilise and supervise all nursing staff effectively

Qualifications
