Position Details

The shift pattern for this position is rotational. This is a full-time, permanent post.

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to provide clinical leadership to the nursing team of Ward 43 at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. We seek an experienced registered nurse to work within a multi-professional team, ensuring high standards of care for cardiology patients, supporting their acute care, rehabilitation, and discharge planning through holistic and compassionate care.

Responsibilities
  1. Take charge and lead the team in this busy acute cardiology unit.
  2. Coordinate care and ensure optimal patient flow throughout the department.
  3. Act as a role model for junior staff, providing specialist knowledge, advice, and evaluating and implementing care.
  4. Support and deputise for the Senior Charge Nurse(s) in their absence, fulfilling managerial duties.
  5. Ensure care assurance within the ward and manage staff issues following Once for Scotland policies.
Requirements

You must be a Registered Nurse with the NMC. Mentorship and coaching will be provided, as we value staff wellbeing and development. We foster a culture of kindness and civility and look forward to your application.

Shift Pattern

The role involves 37 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, with rotating day and night shifts.
