Job summary

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Charge Nurse to lead a rehabilitation ward in Faversham. You will coordinate patient care, mentor junior staff, and contribute to service improvement while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to people with complex needs.

The role requires registered nursing qualification, strong leadership and communication skills, and experience in rehabilitation or frailty care. This is a full-time, on-site post within a supportive MDT.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Charge Nurse to join our rehabilitation team at Faversham Cottage Hospital.

Our service provides specialist rehabilitation interventions for patients with complex and long-term conditions, delivering high-quality, personalised care to support recovery and enable safe discharge home. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team aligned to local Primary Care Networks, you will play a key role in providing integrated, patient-centred care.

As Charge Nurse, you will provide clinical leadership and operational support to the ward team, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care. You will coordinate patient care, support staff development, and contribute to service improvement while promoting the highest standards of nursing practice.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with excellent leadership, communication, and clinical skills. Experience in rehabilitation, intermediate care, frailty, or caring for patients with complex needs is desirable.
