Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Charge Nurse to support the Ward Manager and lead the nursing team at Spring Wood Lodge in Guiseley, near Leeds. You'll help deliver high-quality care to women over 18 with complex emotional and mental health needs, while fostering a supportive, learning-focused ward culture.

With NHS or private care background, you will empower staff, coordinate on-call duties, manage budgets, and model compassionate, evidence-based practice.

What you will be doing:

With experience from the NHS or private care, you will support the Ward Manager to lead the nursing team in providing high-quality care and support to women over the age of 18 who have complex emotional and mental health problems , while also supporting your colleagues and promoting good teamwork.

As a Charge Nurse, you will empower recovery and deliver supervision to staff across the ward to deliver great healthcare. You will work alongside the senior Nurse and Ward Manager to co-ordinate the on-call service and manage the ward budgets, andlead by example, acting as a role model to all members of the nursing team, leading care teams and creating a positive learning environment that makes a difference and changes lives for the better.

Other duties include:

• Providing Clinical Leadership and expertise
• Providing leadership and guidance to support a unified service and engaged workforce
• Ensuring that high standards are in place, followed and improved in accordance within the Clinical Governance framework
• Utilising andsupervising all nursing staff effectively
• Being an expert resource on Nursing care of service users within the specialism and hold a key role in the multidisciplinary team
• Maintaining a positive and collaborative environment to allow ward members to reach their potential and maximum their ability to provide high-quality care, staff welfare and staff training
• Designated to take charge of the ward of the ward in the Ward Manager's absence

You will be working at Spring Wood Lodge, a service that supports women over the age of 18 who have complex emotional and mental health problems associated with significant risk behaviours. Typically they have a diagnosis of personality disorder or a severe mental illness.

They may not have had their needs met in a general psychiatric service including acute inpatient units, community mental health teams or community personality disorder service. Working as part of a team, you will focus on active rehabilitation with a view to achieving sustainable discharge.
