Job summary

NHS Fife is seeking a Band 6 Charge Nurse for Ward 1, Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at Glenrothes Hospital. You will lead daily ward operations, guide junior staff and uphold high standards of clinical care in a busy rehabilitation setting.

You will work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to promote independence, support rehabilitation goals and drive continuous improvement in patient safety and experience.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a ward setting.
• Experience with Stroke or Rehabilitation services is desirable.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK and obtained PVG clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership on Ward 1, Stroke Rehabilitation Unit.
• Support Senior Charge Nurse with day-to-day ward management and staffing.
• Drive quality improvement and ensure safe, person-centred care.

Charge Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Charge Nurse to join Ward 1, Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at Glenrothes Hospital, working as part of our integrated Stroke and Neurological Rehabilitation Service.

We are looking for a forward-thinking and compassionate nurse with strong clinical and leadership skills who is passionate about delivering high standards of safe, effective and person-centred care.

As a Charge Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting the Senior Charge Nurse with the day-to-day leadership and management of the ward, ensuring high standards of clinical care, patient safety and effective workforce management.

You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support patients with complex rehabilitation needs, promoting independence and achieving individual rehabilitation goals.

You will also provide clinical leadership, support staff development and contribute to quality improvement and ongoing service development.

The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and support the nursing team while promoting a positive and supportive learning environment.
