Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Charge Nurse Immuniser to lead the Central Vaccination Service in Dundee, coordinating high-volume clinics and outreach work. You will provide visible clinical leadership, support staff, and ensure safe, efficient service delivery across the Dundee area.

The role requires a Registered Nurse or Midwife with UK NMC registration and the ability to travel within Tayside. It is a 9-month fixed-term/secondment opportunity with 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in vaccination delivery or immunisation services preferred.

As part of NHS Tayside's Public Health Directorate, the Central Vaccination Service sits at the forefront of public health and prevention, delivering essential vaccination programmes that protect communities across Tayside. From high-volume clinics to outreach work and care home delivery, our team plays a crucial role in improving population health, reducing inequalities, and supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

As a Charge Nurse, you will provide visible, hands-on leadership within the Dundee team, supporting staff, coordinating clinics, and ensuring safe, effective, and efficient service delivery.

The preferred candidate will be a Registered Nurse or Midwife with current UK NMC registration and a strong commitment to leadership and service excellence. As part of a Tayside-wide service, there may be an occasional requirement to support adjacent areas; therefore, you must have the ability to travel independently throughout Tayside.
