Overview

The role of Charge Nurse at Beck House in Darlington is a unique opportunity to lead and manage a team of nurses providing high-quality care and support to people with Learning Disabilities and Autism. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the delivery of clinical services, and promoting teamwork and professional development. Responsibilities
  • Motivate, support and manage your team of nurses; delegate tasks as appropriate and coordinate with other teams
  • Oversee high-quality care and support for people with Learning Disabilities and Autism
  • Monitor service users’ conditions and respond to changes
  • Lead and coordinate the quality and management of nursing care and delivery of clinical services
  • Be the liaison between nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, promoting effective communication and collaboration
  • Make critical decisions regarding service user assignments, staff scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Ensure the day-to-day operations of the unit run smoothly and positively
What you will be doing
  • With previous experience from the NHS or private care, oversee and provide high-quality care and support to people with Learning Disabilities and Autism, while supporting your team and promoting good teamwork
  • Lead and coordinate the management of nursing care and delivery of clinical services
  • Support a multidisciplinary team and contribute to career development and specialist skills
