Job summary

Priory Hospital Ayr Clinic is seeking a Charge Nurse in Mental Health or Learning Disability Nursing to join our team in Ayr. This full-time role is 37.5 hours per week, with a two-week rotating pattern including days and nights.

Qualifications

• Active Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council in Mental Health or Learning Disability Nursing.
• Minimum of 18 months post-registration experience in a clinical speciality.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior nursing leadership within the ward team.
• Work with the Ward Manager to maintain high standards of care.
• Participate in an on-call rota as part of the team.
• Support the service delivery with compassionate, person-centred care.

Ayr Clinic, Ayr, is a low secure mental health service for males and females with a mental health diagnosis and/or personality disorder. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

The Charge Nurse provides senior nursing leadership within the ward team, working closely with the Ward Manager to ensure high standards of care.

You will be required to participate in an on-call rota which is worked on a rota basis with the Ward Managers and Charge Nurses.
