Job summary

Dambuster Studios in Nottingham is seeking a skilled Character Artist (External Development) to join our External Development team. You will create high-quality character assets, clothing, hair, and accessories, and guide external partners to meet our production standards.

Working with internal and external teams, you will help maintain IP visuals, review content, and ensure assets integrate smoothly into projects.

Qualifications

Experience creating high-quality character assets for AAA titles.
Ability to provide clear feedback to external artists and maintain style consistency.
Strong understanding of PBR workflows, textures, and materials.

Responsibilities

Provide clear technical and aesthetic feedback to external artists, maintaining a high-quality bar for the game.
Collaborate with internal teams to align external content with the project vision.
Coordinate with internal artists and production teams to ensure smooth collaboration with external partners.
Prepare and maintain art briefs, asset packs, and documentation for external development teams.
Contribute to art style guides and development pipelines to improve workflows.
Participate in art reviews and communicate actionable feedback to external teams.
Partner with concept artists and art direction to ensure production-ready references.
Create and iterate high-quality character models, materials, clothing, hair, and accessories.
