Working pattern: Term time

Contract type: Permanent (to be negotiated depending on experience)

Hours: 5 days per week (Monday-Friday) 8.30am to 3.30pm

Chapel Lane, based in the heart of Spencer’s Wood, is a charity-run preschool passionate about early years’ education. Our location offers extensive opportunities for children to learn, play, and explore.

The successful applicant will join an experienced and friendly team providing a safe and secure environment that enables learning opportunities through play for children aged 2 to 5 years.

This is a term-time role, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 3.30pm.

Reports to:

Pre-School Manager (and Deputy Manager in the absence of the Pre-School Manager)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for a group of key children.

Education & Experience:

• NNEB/NVQ3 or equivalent
• Good understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection, Health and Safety, Food Safety, and Confidentiality (preferred)

Personal Skills:

• A strong passion and enthusiasm for children’s learning and development
• Ability to work independently and follow directions from team leaders
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Ability to confidently use an e-learning journey system (training will be provided)
• Dependable, energetic, and enthusiastic about your work; a team player

This position requires the individual to be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
