A public service organization is seeking a motivated individual for a role focused on implementing quality assurance improvements for Channel panels. This position requires close collaboration with local authorities and stakeholders across England, Wales, and Scotland. Candidates should be experienced in monitoring compliance and managing relationships, with the flexibility to travel as needed. This role is available full-time with options for remote work.

We provide systems leadership across government and deliver strategic initiatives, working closely with operational partners, the Intelligence Agencies and other external organisations to protect the UK.
Underpinned by the Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015, the national infrastructure of Channel panels (known as Prevent Multi-Agency Panels in Scotland) provides bespoke consent-based support at an early stage to people who are at risk of radicalisation, supporting terrorism or committing terrorist acts. A monitoring and compliance framework, aligned to national policy and guidance has been established to strengthen panel oversight nationally, targeting support where needed, using a suite of measures and resources to drive practice improvements and consistency.
Based within Prevent Interventions, the post holder will build networks and support local authorities and other statutory partners within your region (as defined by the Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015) to ensure effective delivery of Channel/PMAP at the local level.
The role will continue to build a strengthened Channel/PMAP quality assurance framework, driving consistency, maintaining standards and monitoring compliance across the panel network. Informing and implementing policy, operational and quality assurance changes to wider Prevent case management through liaison with key partners and in response to identified national learning.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to drive quality assurance of Channel panels including identification and implementation of national learning. Working closely with policy and operational delivery from across the Prevent Directorate, the successful candidates will play a key role in delivering an approach to countering violent extremism that is globally unique.

This role is available on a full-time basis with the option of compressed hours working. Applications from job share candidates are welcome, but any job offer is conditional upon a viable job-sharing arrangement being available This role is also suitable for Home working contract, with a requirement to commit to regular travel within your assigned geographical region in addition to attendance in London (2 Marsham Street and West London) and Manchester Soapworks as required, to meet business need.
Travel:
Frequent regional and national travel will be required, including attendance at Home Office locations in Manchester or London. This may include overnight stays. All travel expenses will be covered/reimbursed in line with Home Office Travel and Subsistence policy. A valid driving licence is a requirement due to the nature of the role.
