Job Description:

Join us as a Change Risk Manager

  • We’ll look to you to play a key role on exciting projects that impact our strategic direction and foster a proactive approach to risk management in change initiatives.
  • You’ll support and work in partnership with the first line of defence and businesses in applying effective risk management, and in anticipating and assessing the potential impacts of risk across the bank.
  • This high-profile role will see you play a pivotal role in applying effective risk management and decision-making capabilities to anticipate and mitigate risks associated with our major change programmes.
  • We're offering this role for a period of 12 months.
What you'll do

You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide tailored analyses that consider risk implications, ensuring data integrity and compliance throughout the change process. You'll analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that support programme management and change initiatives, ensuring adherence to risk controls and governance frameworks.

We’ll look to you to support the business in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with change initiatives. You'll also support the development of risk management strategies that align with programme goals.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Identifying opportunities to enhance data processes, risk assessment methodologies, and presentation techniques, ensuring best practices in risk management are upheld.
  • Creating compelling visual reports using Excel, Tableau, and PowerPoint to present complex data and risk assessments clearly and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Delivering the interrogation and analysis of relevant management information, supporting effective risk management on the part of your stakeholders.
  • Developing guidance notes and training material to up-skill the broader first line of defence function and businesses.
  • Supporting management in facilitating regular stakeholder meetings and key forums through the preparation and issuing of supporting paperwork and assessing regulatory impacts.
The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be able to articulate findings and risk implications to senior stakeholders, and present data-driven recommendations persuasively within the context of programme management.

You’ll also bring:

  • The ability to analyse data trends, assess risks, and translate complex information into straightforward, actionable insights.
  • Proven proficiency in using Excel for data manipulation, Tableau for visualisation, and PowerPoint for presentations.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and scenario analysis methodologies.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to influence at all levels.
