Job Description

We are hiring a Change Planner to manage the planning and scheduling aspects of change on a large infrastructure project. This role requires strong experience with the NEC suite of contracts and a solid understanding of how changes affect programme delivery.


The Change Planner will assess and manage the impact of design, construction, and commercial changes. You will work closely with project teams to maintain accurate schedules and support decision-making


Responsibilities



  • Maintain and update project schedules to reflect proposed and approved changes.




  • Assess the time impact of Early Warnings and Compensation Events under NEC contracts.




  • Prepare programme submissions that show the effect of changes on key milestones and critical path.




  • Work with planners, engineers, and commercial staff to coordinate change assessments.




  • Produce time impact analyses and scenario plans for review by senior project managers.




  • Ensure compliance with NEC contract procedures and programme requirements.




  • Attend and contribute to change control boards and programme review meetings.




  • Maintain clear records of all programme changes and their justifications.




Requirements



  • Experience working as a change planner on major infrastructure projects in the UK.




  • Strong working knowledge of the NEC form of contract.




  • Expert using Primavera P6.




  • Able to analyse and explain how change affects project schedules and delivery.




  • Understanding of civil engineering construction methods.




  • Able to work with engineers, commercial teams, and project managers to assess change impacts.




  • Good written and verbal communication skills.




  • Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, construction, or project management.
