What you'll be doing:
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Motor team on a permanent basis, as a Pricing & Underwriting Change Improvement Lead. The role is to support the development of the pricing strategy for Personal Lines through leading continuous improvements to our rating algorithm and testing process – ensuring capability to make change efficiently and accurately in order to ensure commercial benefit and other business objectives.
You'll be part of a team providing an innovative and effective change delivery service for our Motor business. This will include:
Design, build, test and implementation of approved changes to our insurance rating software, this role focusing on the more complex changes and providing guidance to others within the team.
Engaging with key stakeholders within business and IT technology teams to ensure that requirements and timeframes are met, alongside all governance/regulatory outcomes.
Ownership of maintenance of best practice and up-to-date documentation of our rating algorithm and testing processes.
Continuous improvement the efficiency of the change team and longer-term pricing delivery capability.
Identifying and managing the risks involved in running our business appropriately for this role. Communicating to peers and team managers in a timely manner where you have discovered price, model or data issues, suggesting appropriate remedial actions and control improvements to reduce likelihood of recurrence.
Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you'll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office
What you'll need:
We want you to utilise your technical specialism to help us reach the best outcomes, thinking tactically & strategically as well as creatively. You will be an effective communicator at all levels and be able to demonstrate positive relationship management and engagement skills. You will progress work both independently and providing guidance and delivering through others within the team.
We also are looking for the following skills:
Knowledge of the WTW Radar software and how to build, develop and test algorithms, alongside general software development experience.
Knowledge and experience of other programming languages and software such as SQL, Python, Excel VBA.
Knowledge of general insurance market and pricing also desirable.
