The Project Management and Improvement Office is an ever-growing and developing team that ensures the high-quality delivery of projects, programmes, and change initiatives. You will be joining a well-established team that strives to be the centre of excellence; providing targeted support, management, and expertise to projects and change initiatives across the organisation.

We are seeking an individual with a strong understanding and appreciation of both project and change management, with experience supporting or managing projects and change initiatives of various sizes and complexities. You will join a dedicated team with a passion for continuous improvement, so sharing our outlook of striving for excellence is important. Given the fast-paced environment, flexibility to work across different services and with diverse individuals is essential.

Understanding the environment of local government, including its unique governance arrangements, and maintaining a customer-focused approach in all aspects of work are crucial.

Further Attributes We Are Looking For Include
  • Association of Project Management PFQ or Prince 2 Foundation qualification
  • Desirable: Change Foundation Certifications (APMQ)
  • Experience supporting the management of varied projects and change initiatives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving environments and requirements
  • Experience with key IT systems such as the M365 suite, including Microsoft Projects
  • Ability to collect and manipulate data for effective reporting on change pressures
  • A passion for innovation and continuous improvement
  • A customer-focused orientation
