This role is best suited for a recent psychology or criminology graduate with a deep interest in understanding the factors that cause challenging behaviour in individuals. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with and observe trained professionals such as SENCOs, Educational Psychologists, and Occupational Therapists, gaining vital experience and learning from specialists.
As a Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will work with young learners who display nonconforming behaviour requiring specialist intervention. You will implement specific strategies, provide emotional support, and promote positive habits to improve their well-being and social interactions.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent behavioural management skills, be committed to improving the lives of challenging young people, and be adaptable in approach. Experience working with difficult behaviour, mental health issues, or SEN children is desirable.
