Role Summary:

You will foster strong working partnerships with senior leadership across Corporate Functions, their management teams, and the Senior Technology Management team. You will have specialized domain knowledge of one or more of the corporate functions within M&G, such as HR, Workplace Solutions, Audit, Risk and Compliance, Legal and Company Secretarial, Corporate Affairs, and Finance. The role also involves ensuring all Technology control processes operate as defined and can report externally to demonstrate effectiveness.

This role acts as a bridge between "technical and delivery functions, ensuring that solutions are not only "technically sound, operationally fit for purpose, and sustainable but also" delivered effectively and in alignment with enterprise standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with senior stakeholders across business areas and technical teams to secure resources, land deliverables, and manage dependencies.
  • Ensure reporting of the project's status is complete, accurate, and tailored to governance forum audiences.
  • Build a right-sized delivery workforce aligned with the firm's workforce and location strategy, including engaging third-party delivery partners as needed.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and talent management strategies within Technology.
  • Own, evolve, and improve programme reporting packs for timely, transparent, and effective communication, including celebrating successes.
  • Lead and support cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality, governance, and sustainability standards.

Experience Statements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Finance or Corporate Functions & Data Technology team.
  • Experience leading or working on transformation programmes.
  • Broad technical experience, including understanding of architectures like MS Azure.
  • Knowledge of Data Modelling & Data Governance.
  • Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to discuss policies and transform related processes and systems.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors, including budget oversight.
  • Hands-on engineering experience in languages and cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of engineering, security, compliance, and service challenges.
  • Experience with solution design end-to-end.
