Role Summary:

You will foster strong working partnerships with senior leadership across Corporate Functions, their management teams, and the Senior Technology Management team. You will have specialized domain knowledge of one or more corporate functions within M&G: HR, Workplace Solutions, Audit, Risk and Compliance, Legal and CoSec, Corporate Affairs, and Finance. Your role also involves ensuring all Technology control processes operate as defined and can report externally to demonstrate effectiveness.

This role acts as a bridge between technical and delivery functions, ensuring solutions are technically sound, operationally fit for purpose, sustainable, and delivered effectively in line with enterprise standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across business areas and technical teams to secure resources, land deliverables, and manage dependencies.
  • Ensure complete and accurate project status reporting tailored to governance forum audiences.
  • Build a rightsized delivery workforce aligned with the firm's workforce and location strategy; engage third-party delivery partners when needed.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and talent management strategies within Technology.
  • Own, evolve, and improve programme reporting packs for timely, transparent, and effective communication, celebrating successes.
  • Lead and support cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality, governance, and sustainability standards.

  • Broad technical experience, including understanding of architectures like MS Azure.
  • Knowledge of Data Modelling & Data Governance.
  • Familiarity with Agile & Waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to discuss policies and transform related processes and systems.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and budgets.
  • Hands-on engineering experience in one or more programming languages and cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of engineering, security, compliance, and service challenges.
  • Experience with end-to-end solution design.
