5 Clinical Advisor posts available at 1 session per week for 1 year.

Salary is commensurate with existing Consultant salary point, ranging from £96,963 to £128,841 (pro rata).

Programme Overview

The National Unscheduled Care Programme facilitates whole system development and delivery of improvement programmes to enhance patient and staff experience in Unscheduled Care.

Role Description

We seek credible clinical leaders with expertise in Unscheduled Care to provide clinical and improvement guidance, supporting development and delivery of initiatives to improve quality, timeliness, and safety across NHS Scotland. Experience with improvement methods and change management is essential.

The role reports to the National Clinical Lead for Unscheduled Care and collaborates with various national and regional teams to drive sustainable change.

Organisation Background

The CfSD, commissioned by the Scottish Government, supports NHS Boards and Health and Social Care Partnerships in delivering safe, effective care and improving outcomes. It leads multiple national programmes, including the Unscheduled Care Programme.

Objectives

• Design and implement national redesign and transformation initiatives
• Conduct research and publish evidence-based insights
• Facilitate co-design and collaboration across health and social care sectors
• Assist Boards in data-driven service improvement and variation reduction
