Job summary

South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome service at Sunderland Royal Hospital on a part-time basis (18.75 hours per week). You will deliver specialist psychological assessments and interventions for adults with CFS, often with complex co-morbidities, within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Essential: Thorough knowledge of psychopathology, psychometrics and at least CBT as a therapy option.
• Essential: Advanced psychological assessment, intervention and management skills.
• Essential: High-level interpersonal and communication abilities, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment for CFS patients within the service.
• Develop, implement and evaluate specialist psychological interventions for CFS; contribute to MDT work.
