Who’s the business

Zanda is partnering with a cutting-edge medtech business that is headquartered in London, and has a growing presence in the US. The company specialises in breakthrough diagnostics and life sciences solutions, and has developed proprietary IP across key elements of testing and point-of-care technologies.

The business has recently secured significant multi-year research partnerships and are backed by a strong IP portfolio. As part of this exciting journey, they are seeking a commercially-minded Chief Financial Officerto play a critical role in helping the business prepare for the next phase of growth, fundraising, and potential strategic transactions.

What experiences you will gain

Leading all aspects of finance, accounting, treasury, tax, and financial operations across the UK headquarters and US subsidiary.
Building and scaling a best-in-class finance function, including implementing strong financial controls, optimising cashflow, and driving operational excellence.
Acting as a key strategic advisor to the CEO and Board, providing data-driven insights to support rapid growth, IP monetisation, and market expansion.
Supporting future capital raising initiatives through preparation of financial models, investor materials, and engagement with high-net-worth individuals, strategic investors, and institutions.
Managing all legal and administrative matters, including oversight of IP licensing, vendor contracts, insurance, HR and facilities.
Leading on the preparation of due diligence materials in readiness for potential strategic partnerships, investments, or M&A activity.
Building a collaborative, high-performing team across finance, research and operations, and playing a key role in shaping a fast-moving, entrepreneurial culture.

What background should you have before you press apply!

Currently operating as a CFO or senior finance leader within a high-growth biotech, medtech, healthtech, or deeptech business.
Proven success raising capital from angel investors, strategics, or venture capital sources.
Direct experience supporting M&A processes, ideally including IP-heavy or technology-driven transactions.
Hands-on accounting expertise with a solid understanding of UK GAAP and exposure to US financial practices.
Proven ability to build and lead a high-performing, insightful finance team aligned with strategic business goals.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to lead budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning and financial modelling in an R&D-intensive environment.
Experience managing legal contracts and external legal counsel relating to IP, vendor relationships, and compliance matters.
