Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Custody Support Worker to join our CFO Evolution team.

You will be responsible for managing a caseload of participants in a correctional setting, starting from initial engagement and evaluation. Your role will involve providing motivational support and guidance to help participants stay engaged during their sentence. You will deliver both group and one-on-one interventions to assist participants in overcoming obstacles and reintegrating into their communities, including facilitating efficient pre-release processes for smooth community re-entry.

The ideal candidate will have experience in probation, social care, or the criminal justice sector. However, we value confidence and the ability to work with diverse backgrounds and circumstances, coaching and mentoring participants effectively.

Location and Details

Location: South West England
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet individual and team performance targets in line with contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with mentors and peers to manage your caseload and connect participants with resources for housing, health, and well-being.
  • Contribute to a learning environment by sharing best practices and developing skills.
  • Ensure effective case management, including safeguarding and risk management, with timely reporting of concerns to the Probation Service.
  • Meet all contractual targets.

Skills and Experience

  • IAG Level 3 - desirable
  • Experience managing a caseload - desirable
  • Knowledge of electronic data management and working in target-driven environments
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to motivate and engage individuals
