Job Description:

About the job

Zanda is an Executive search partner that works exclusively with high-growth start-ups as they look to scale their business with senior talent. Zanda partners with VCs, Founders, CEOs and CFOs to successfully deliver key senior appointments.

Who’s the business:

Zanda is partnering with a global AI Infrastructure and B2B SaaS venture that is scaling rapidly across multiple continents. With a product used by major enterprise clients and a strong recurring revenue base, this business is on the path to IPO or a significant exit.

The CFO will lead the company’s financial strategy, investment portfolio, and risk management, focusing on AI-driven growth and sustainability. Responsibilities include capital allocation, financial planning, investor relations, and compliance, leveraging AI analytics for informed decision-making. The role balances financial discipline with strategic AI investments to position the company as a market leader.

The next phase involves securing a large funding round (likely over £200m) to help reach over £100m ARR before a 2-3 year journey towards an exit.

What experiences you will gain:

You will be a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, overseeing financial, fundraising, and investor relations. This leadership role involves representing the business internally and externally.

  • Lead an institutional funding round (hundreds of millions), working with Tier 1 VC, PE, and capital markets.
  • Prepare for IPO and exit.
  • Build and develop a global finance team (FP&A, reporting, tax, legal, investor relations).
  • Provide clarity in a fast-paced environment, supporting strategic decisions across regions.
  • Act as a trusted ambassador to investors, representing the company confidently.
  • Partner with the CEO and Board on international growth, commercial planning, and exit strategies.

Background required:

  • Experience as CFO in a VC- or PE-backed international scale-up, ideally within B2B SaaS or hardware-enabled businesses with >£100m ARR.
  • Proven success in raising large institutional funding or leading IPO/exits.
  • Credibility to influence investors, boards, and advisors.
  • Expertise in financial operations, governance, and compliance for complex international structures.
  • Commercial mindset and ability to operate swiftly without losing clarity or control.
