Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has three locations: the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), known for its innovative technologies; Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany), one of the most modern of its kind in Europe; and the Sauber Motorsport Technology Center in the UK. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for chassis development and race operations, with support from the UK.

Your mission
  • Develop CFD processes in an F1 environment
  • Impact how CFD technology is used across the aerodynamic department
  • Improve CFD physical modeling for increased prediction accuracy
  • Collaborate with external software providers on development projects
  • Contribute to future trends in advanced CFD methods
  • Work within an agile software development team
Your profile
  • MSc or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field with a focus on CFD
  • Experience developing CFD methods in OpenFOAM
  • Knowledge of high-Reynolds flows, turbulence modeling, C++, and Python
  • Experience with parallel and high-performance computing (HPC)
  • Familiarity with software release, update, deployment, and Linux environments
  • Strong communication skills in verbal and written English
  • Pragmatic, analytical, self-motivated, creative, and results-oriented
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail
  • Resilient, open-minded, innovative, and a team player
  • Willing to support the racing team during weekends for software troubleshooting
