Job Description:

Our team welcomes you to the Audi F1 Project. Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The team has three locations: the Sauber Group's F1 factory in Hinwil, Switzerland; the Audi Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg, Germany; and the Sauber Motorsport Technology Center in the UK.

We are looking for a CFD Methodology Engineer who is passionate about motorsport and has a mindset of an athlete, ready to overcome limits and contribute to this historic project.

Your mission
  1. Develop CFD processes effectively in an F1 environment.
  2. Impact the use of CFD technology across the aerodynamic department.
  3. Enhance CFD physical modeling for better prediction accuracy.
  4. Collaborate with external software providers on development projects.
  5. Shape future trends in advanced CFD methods.
  6. Work within an agile software development team.
Your profile
  1. MSc or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields focusing on CFD.
  2. Experience with CFD methods in OpenFOAM.
  3. Knowledge of high-Reynolds flows, turbulence modeling, C++, and Python.
  4. Experience with parallel and high-performance computing (HPC).
  5. Familiarity with software deployment in Linux environments.
  6. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  7. Pragmatic, analytical, self-motivated, creative, and results-oriented.
  8. Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
  9. Resilient, open-minded, innovative, and a team player.
  10. Willing to support the racing team on weekends for software troubleshooting.
  11. Eager to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
