Bronson Healthcare in Kalamazoo seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist First Assist to join our operating room team. You will work closely with the surgeon, RN Circulator, and scrub staff to ensure safe, efficient surgical care from neonates to geriatrics.

The role requires a Surgical Technologist certification, completion of a First Assistant program, and BLS. Full-time, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits are offered onsite.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist First Assistant program.
• BLS certification required by orientation.
• Demonstrated competency in most surgical procedures.

Responsabilités

• Assist in intraoperative procedures as the first assistant under surgeon direction.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists and OR staff to ensure safe, efficient care.
• Maintain confidentiality and patient privacy at all times.
• Read and interpret procedure cards and oversee case carts for supplies.
• Provide setup, exposure, tissue handling and hemostasis during surgery.
