Provides personal care and related services according to an established care plan, ensuring patient comfort and needs at home.

Essential Functions

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including:

  • Personal hygiene (bathing, mouth, skin, hair care)
  • Ambulation
  • Eating
  • Dressing
  • Meal preparation

Perform patient-specific activities as instructed by a nurse, such as:

  • Dressings reinforcement
  • Range of motion exercises
  • Special diet preparation

Carry out homemaking tasks like vacuuming, dusting, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • Minimum six months experience as a Personal Care Assistant
  • Completion of a competency evaluation per state law
  • Current CPR certification recommended
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Valid driver's license and access to transportation
  • 30-40 hours of basic care training required
