Part-time, Night Shift

Schedule: 2 12-hour shifts, weekends required

For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering sign-on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants (CNA):

  1. 0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time)
  2. 1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)

Bonus eligibility details:

  • Candidates must be hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part-time CNA position.
  • Bonus amount is prorated for Part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former employees are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation.

Unit Bio:

R2 is a fast-paced, 37-bed medical telemetry unit providing care to a diverse adult patient population, with a focus on Stroke patients. Maine Medical Center is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center by the Joint Commission. Our team is committed to high standards of nursing and care, exemplifying excellent communication and teamwork.

Summary:

Under supervision of Registered Nurses, performs service duties and technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting with hygiene and activities of daily living. Duties may vary by area. Consideration of patient-specific needs and behaviors is required.

The CNA - Acute Care assists in nursing care administration under RN supervision, performing both direct and indirect care duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. Current applicable state license as a CNA required.
  3. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  4. Experience: 0-6 months CNA experience; on-the-job training provided.
