Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part-time CNA position. Bonus amount is prorated for Part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.

Unit Bio:
The Maine Medical Center (MMC) emergency department (ED) is Maine's only American College of Surgeons Level One verified trauma center. Located in Portland, the MMC ED is also home to Maine's only pediatric emergency department. Our state-of-the-art facility is designed to meet the needs of a high-volume patient population from Maine and New Hampshire, as well as visitors from all over the world. Patients seen in the ED may be experiencing chest pain, falls greater than 10 feet resulting in injury, heart attack, seizures, suicidal thoughts or actions, mental health crisis, physical attack or rape, poisoning, among other conditions.
Summary:
The Emergency Care Technician I (ECT II) assists the healthcare team in organizing and implementing basic department activities (stocking, results retrieval, patient tracking). They assist the healthcare provider in patient care, including vital signs, pulse oximetry, ECG, phlebotomy, and simple procedures.
