MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME, is recruiting a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to join our team. The OB/GYN team seeks candidates with experience, teaching, research, or community service backgrounds that align with our commitment to diversity, excellence, and patient health.
The CNM will see OB Emergency Department patients, perform postpartum rounds and discharges, supervise labors, and attend births with our resident team.
This is a clinical teaching position. CNMs at MMC Portland participate in educating resident physicians (OB/GYN, Emergency Medicine, and Family Medicine) and medical students through clinical supervision, didactic lectures, and simulation labs. A passion for teaching and interprofessional collaboration is essential.
Portland offers the amenities of city life amid Maine's beaches and forests. Our diverse patient population includes many foreign-born residents, and the CNM should demonstrate fluency and interest in caring for patients from various backgrounds.
