Noble Horizons is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in Salisbury, CT. The CNA will provide nursing care and assist with daily activities such as bathing, eating, and toileting.

Depicting dependability, empathy, and punctuality, the ideal candidate must be reliable and capable of working with diverse patients. The role supports 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm, and 11:00 pm – 7:00 am shifts, with weekly hours that are flexible and include weekends.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a nursing assistant course or the equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous hospital experience with acceptable references preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds at times.

Responsibilities

• Provide hygiene and daily living assistance; assist with toileting, bathing, and meals; ambulate and reposition patients as required.
• Check vital signs and weight; perform sugar/acetone urine testing and specimen collection; administer non-sterile dressings and therapeutic baths.
• Maintain any specialized training and perform additional tasks relevant to the assigned patient or area.

Weekly Hours: Flexible, including weekdays and weekends

Hours

• 1st Shift: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 am to 7:00 am

Location: Noble Horizons, Salisbury, CT

Responsibilities

• Patient care – Instill confidence and trust in patients in a competent and caring manner. Provide hygiene and daily living assistance. This could include toileting, bathing, and assisting patients with showers. Support the patient with meals as needed. Ambulate, turn, and position patients as required.
• Medical needs – Check vital signs and weight. Perform sugar and acetone urine testing and specimen collection. Administer non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz, and therapeutic baths.
• Professional development – Maintain any specialized training and, if applicable, perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned patient or area.
