The role covers product certification, CAD, engineering documentation and product testing, with transferable experience from design, product or development engineering being valuable.

• Experience in engineering, design, certification or technical support.
• CAD and technical drawing experience.
• Able to work to engineering standards and QA procedures.

• Product testing/validation experience advantageous.

We are recruiting a Certification Engineer to join an established engineering manufacturer in Cramlington.

This is a varied technical role covering product certification, CAD, engineering documentation and product testing. Previous certification experience would be advantageous, but we are also interested in Design, Product or Development Engineers with relevant transferable experience.

The role:

• Support product certification against relevant standards and directives
• Produce and modify 2D/3D CAD drawings
• Support new product development and design improvements
• Prepare technical and certification documentation
• Maintain BOMs, drawings and other controlled documentation
• Support product testing, validation and test reporting
• Liaise with external certification bodies
• Provide technical support across Engineering, Quality and Sales

The person:

• Engineering, design, certification or technical support experience
• CAD and technical drawing experience
• Comfortable working to engineering standards and QA procedures
• Experience producing technical documentation
• Product testing/validation experience advantageous
• Certification/compliance experience advantageous
