Job summary

Platform Recruitment is seeking a Certification & Compliance Engineer in the Maidenhead area to lead certification and regulatory compliance for new and existing products.

The role requires five years of industrial experience in testing and certification of electrical/electronic products, with strong knowledge of BS/EN/IEC/UL/CE/UKCA/FCC standards and global certification processes. RED and cybersecurity knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Five years’ industrial experience in testing and certification of electrical/electronic products.
• Knowledge of international standards: BS, EN, IEC, UL, CE, UKCA, FCC.
• Understanding of global certification processes.
• Nice to have RED and cybersecurity knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the certification and regulatory compliance process for new and existing products.
• Advise engineering teams on applicable certification requirements during product development.
• Carry out compliance risk assessments and provide recommendations.
• Liaise with customers regarding product testing and certification requirements.
• Plan and coordinate internal and external testing programmes.
• Work with third-party test houses to arrange testing and obtain quotations.
