Job summary

CoorsTek Crewe is offering a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Machining Technician with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment at Crewe Hall Enterprise Park. The apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with specialist off-the-job study to develop core machining skills.

You will work with experienced operators, learning to machine, inspect and finish ceramic components, while progressing toward a professional qualification and a permanent role on successful completion.

Qualifications

• GCSE in Design & Technology required.
• In-house training through a Level 3 Apprenticeship.
• Study towards Machining Technician qualification.

Responsibilities

• Machining of ceramic components before firing.
• Grinding and finishing of ceramic components.
• Setting and operating relevant machinery.
• Loading and unloading components safely.
• Selecting tooling under supervision.
• Check dimensions against drawings and specs.
• Identify surface defects and quality issues.
• Learn how process conditions affect final quality.
• Support the efficient flow of components through the process.
