Job description

Centre Manager

Location: Stoke

Hours: Monday to Sunday, from 20 hours per week, flexibility to work any day of the week required

Salary: £40,000 per annum (pro rata)

We are working with our client to recruit a nursery manager, teacher, or health professional to educate and support the parents of our clients' members.

You will help parents understand the educational and physical benefits of our three core programmes: Parent & Child, Pre-School, and Primary School, and how these align with their child's development at different stages. If you are passionate about child growth and fitness, and enjoy supporting busy parents, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  1. Operational Leadership: Work alongside the owner to manage the day-to-day running of the business, acting as the first point of contact.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a young, inexperienced team, helping them grow and develop within their roles.
  3. Class Development: Develop and expand our daytime (weekday) baby, parent-child, and early childhood classes.
  4. Education & Engagement: Educate the team, parents, and children about the benefits of physical development and our unique programme.
  5. Teaching: Teach parent-child classes for children aged 4 months to 3 years.
  6. Customer Service Focus: Ensure that exceptional customer service is at the heart of everything we do, with excellent people skills, especially at the front of house.
  7. Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with local nurseries, schools, and the wider community.
  8. Parent Education: Create and manage a knowledge hub for parents, including resources and educational events.
  9. Support Progressive Learning: Promote progressive learning both in the office and at home, helping children develop in a nurturing environment.
Requirements
  • This role is ideally suited for a teacher, nursery manager, or health professional (doctor, nurse, psychologist) with an interest in a healthy active lifestyle and young children.
  • Core Focus: Child development, education, and the benefits of physical activity.
  • Customer-Focused: Strong people skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Not Sales-Focused: No requirement for sales, P&L management, or marketing experience (though these skills would be beneficial).
  • Team Leadership: Ability to lead, develop, and motivate a young team.
  • Community Engagement: Experience in developing relationships within the local community and with parents.
