Are you a passionate, qualified early childhood teacher who wants to lead a team of dedicated staff and make a difference in the lives of our children? Cornerstone Christian Early Learning Centre – Middleton is looking for a Centre Manager to lead our team.

About us:

Cornerstone Christian Early Learning Centre is a Christian preschool that has been operating in Christchurch for over 20 years and has a strong and long-standing reputation within the community. We are a Centre currently licensed for 50 children, with capacity to grow, catering for 2 to 5 year olds.

Our experienced teaching team works closely alongside a supportive owner, The Christian Schools Trust and a Management Board. The Centre has opted into full pay parity for staff.

You will lead a passionate and close-knit teaching team. The role is 40 hours per week, located in Upper Riccarton, Christchurch. Your role is to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Centre to provide rich learning experiences for tamariki in line with the organisation’s Christian character and vision.

About you:

• NZQA recognised ECE Teaching Qualification (essential) and current category 1 teacher registration
• Uphold and support the Centre’s Christian character and vision
• Centre leadership experience
• First aid certificate
• Enjoy working in partnership – with kaiako, tamariki, whānau, and community
• Can take initiative and have great communication skills
• Drive to motivate and inspire staff
• An excellent problem solver
