Precious Cargo Marion is looking for a dedicated Centre Cook to join our wonderful team on a 3‑month full‑time fixed‑term contract. What You'll Be Doing
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals, snacks, and dietary‑specific options for children aged 0–5.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
  • Creating menus that are balanced, age‑appropriate, and aligned with centre and regulatory guidelines.
  • Working closely with educators to understand allergies, intolerances, and individual needs.
  • Supporting our warm, inclusive centre culture through teamwork and positive communication.
What You'll Need
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certification (essential)
  • Experience working as a cook in early childhood, hospitality, or a similar environment
  • Knowledge of safe food handling, allergies, cultural dietary needs, and nutritional standards
  • A passion for nurturing children through healthy, home‑style cooking
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC) – SA
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis (or willingness to obtain)
