Job summary

Catering in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an English Tutor/Functional Skills English trainer to deliver classroom-based lessons and support learners toward Level 2 achievement. You will promote inclusion, safeguarding and safety while using existing resources and creating new materials as needed.

The role requires confidence in delivering workshops to small groups, a Level 5 teaching qualification (or working toward it), and an English qualification at Level 3 or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must hold or work toward Level 5 Teaching qualification.
• Experience delivering Functional Skills English.
• Confident with classroom and workshop training to small groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills English up to Level 2 in a classroom environment.
• Promote equality, safeguarding and health and safety.
• Prepare and use delivery resources; create own materials when required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• Adapt delivery methods to meet diverse learner needs and differentiate accordingly.
• Assist learners in identifying skills to progress towards career goals.
• Motivate learners with energy and passion to realize potential.
