Summary

Patterdale Hall is seeking a friendly, well-organised Centre Administrator to join the team on a part-time basis. This fixed-term position is to cover a period of maternity leave.

Detail

Patterdale Hall, a Residential Adventure Learning Centre owned and managed by Bolton School, is looking for a Centre Administrator to support the day-to-day administration of the Hall. The role involves covering general office tasks, secretarial and reception duties, and maintaining the Hall’s online presence, including updating websites and contributing to social media activity. Training can be provided for this aspect of the role.

The successful candidate will be confident using computers and fully proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A good telephone manner and a strong commitment to customer service are essential, as the role often involves being the first point of contact for visitors, schools, and clients. The successful candidate will be friendly, approachable, and able to manage a range of tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

This is a part-time role, working 20 hours per week. We are happy to discuss working patterns at interview, and hours may be spread over three or four days to suit both the successful applicant and the needs of the Hall.

Patterdale Hall offers a unique working environment in a stunning location on the shores of Lake Ullswater. The Centre provides a wide range of land- and water-based activities for school children and commercial clients and also operates a self-catering holiday let. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive team who are passionate about delivering meaningful, high-quality experiences for all who visit.
