Job summary

EDF Energy Limited seeks a Centralised Fire Watch Supervisor to provide leadership and operational control for fire watch activities across the UK, with initial deployment to HM1. This is a non-working supervisory post requiring coordination with multiple contractors and hot work locations.

You will ensure compliance with fire safety plans, supervise Fire Watchers, and report on performance and risks. A strong safety background and relevant certificates are essential for success.

Qualifications

• CITB MAPS or CCNSG certification is mandatory.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required (Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
• ISO45001 Internal Auditor qualification desired.
• First Aid at Work certification required.
• NEBOSH Fire Safety certificate mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead the centralised Fire Watch organisation as the accountable operational supervisor for deployment, coordination and assurance; non-working supervisory role.
• Attend and contribute to planning meetings to forecast demand and establish daily deployment plans.
• Ensure coverage and resilience for shifts, breaks and changes in priorities across multiple contractors and hot work locations.
• Verify compliance with Centralised Fire Watch plans, permits and fire safety requirements; coach and supervise Fire Watchers.
• Act as escalation point for safety concerns and monitor performance, reporting trends and corrective actions.
