Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced security operations centre (SOC) operator to join our Central Security Operations team, responsible for remotely resolving technical issues with intruder alarms and CCTV systems, as well as supporting branch colleagues, engineers, our Security Operations Centre team and contractors with technical queries.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot technical issues with intruder alarms and CCTV systems remotely
Provide technical support to branch colleagues, engineers, and contractors
Collaborate with other teams to resolve complex technical issues
Remotely maintain the intruder alarm estate of the Group
Document technical support cases and maintain accurate records
Supporting our Security Operations Centre team with technical issues
Actively managing false alarms on CCTV and Intruder Alarm systems monitored by our in-house Security Operators
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following:
Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues, engineers, and contractors
The ability to work under pressure
Detail-oriented with the ability to document and maintain accurate records
Ability to work well in a team and independently
Strong problem-solving skills
Training will be provided to the successful applicant, however, experience in a similar technical support role, knowledge of intruder alarm and CCTV systems (including installation and maintenance), knowledge of Google Workspace products and GDPR awareness are desirable traits.
Salary and Benefits:
This is a full-time role, offering 42 hours per week, we have a number of shift patterns available (5am - 3pm, 9am - 7pm & 7pm - 5am) on a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern. The salary for this role is £28,946 p/a.
The successful candidate will be based in our Northampton-based office and will work closely with other members of our security team.
Due to the requirement of this role to be carried out in our Northampton-based office, our Group Security team reserves the right to take location and travel arrangements into account when reviewing applications for this position.
