Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking a seasoned Plant Manager for a major cement operation. Lead cement grinding, storage, packing and dispatch, while directing maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives on a large site.

You will manage operational teams, budgets and cross-functional activities to meet production targets and customer demand in a heavy industrial setting. Strong leadership and strategic planning are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a cement manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cement manufacturing processes.
• Experience leading operational teams in heavy industry or manufacturing.
• Proven experience managing contractors and cross-functional activity.
• Experience delivering operational and business performance targets.
• Strong health and safety knowledge.
• Good commercial awareness and budget management experience.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
• Good stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and reporting ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily grinding, storage, packing and dispatch operations.
• Manage and develop supervisors and operational teams.
• Drive plant performance, reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure customer demand is met through production planning.
• Coordinate maintenance activity, shutdowns and plant improvement work.
• Manage budgets, costs and expenditure.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, logistics, supply chain and commercial teams.
• Ensure materials and packaging supplies support uninterrupted production.
• Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Manage contractors, suppliers and cross-functional projects.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and compliance.
• Support site improvement projects and new product introductions.
