Overview

Job Title: Cement Casting Technician
Location: Droitwich
Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Salary: 14.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications to produce accurate cement castings.
  • Prepare and set up molds and forms for casting, ensuring they meet design specifications.
  • Mix and pour cement to create high-quality castings, adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor the curing process to ensure optimal strength and finish of castings.
  • Inspect finished castings for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure casting requirements are met.
  • Operate and maintain equipment and tools used in the casting process.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors as required, in various weather conditions.
  • Operate a Forklift Truck (FLT) to transport materials and castings around the site.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in cement casting or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of cement mixing, pouring, and curing processes.
  • Experience with mold preparation and setting.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Forklift Truck (FLT) license is required.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is essential.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the metal processing or industrial heating industry.
  • Additional certifications in construction or manufacturing processes.
Working Conditions
