A leading healthcare provider in Greater London is seeking a dedicated medical professional to join their CAR-T Cell therapy team. The role involves patient care in clinical trials, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and requires relevant medical qualifications. Job overview
The post holder will be involved in the care of patients undergoing treatment with CAR-T Cells for B-NHL, B-ALL, and Myeloma, as well as other cellular therapies delivered as part of clinical trials. They will gain experience in patient selection and assessment, bridging therapy, lymphodepletion, infusion, and managing acute and long-term complications of CAR-T cell therapy. Additionally, the post holder will care for patients pre- and post-allogeneic and autologous HSCT, gaining experience in pre-transplant assessment, work-up, conditioning regimens, infectious complications, Graft versus Host Disease, and late effects of transplant.
The post holder will work alongside a HSCT coordinator (medical) and a Cell Therapy fellow, collaborating closely with nursing coordinators, specialist nurses, and the Cell Therapy/HSCT consultant team.
The department has a well-established JACIE-accredited haematopoietic stem cell transplant and cell therapy program, with a team including 2 Cell Therapy Clinical Nurse Specialists, 4 pre-transplant CNS, and 2 post-transplant CNS. The team cares for adult patients, including teenagers and young adults (ages 18-25).
An active Palliative Care and Symptom Control Service, led by a dedicated Consultant, provides 24-hour advice and care, linking with a local hospice.
