An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Cellular Pathology Department for an enthusiastic individual to join us to support our management team in delivering cancer diagnostics across CTMUHB.
You'll need to be well organized, with good administration skills and the ability to solve problems but also escalate issues not within your scope to resolve.
You will support administration and documentation requirements including rota management and support data collection. You will also manage efficient receipt of cellular pathology samples and liaise with service providers to resolve queries. The post holder will ensure ordering is fulfilled and resolve issues with orders as required.
English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Provide support to the Department Leadership Team as appropriate, specifically the management of rotas, specimen pathways to support cancer performance, managing concerns, and payroll processes.
To be responsible for identifying and resolving issues and errors within your own area.
To be responsible for compiling the duty rotas ensuring service needs are met and to inform laboratory staff as appropriate.
To ensure the efficient receipt & appropriate processing of all incoming samples.
Support planning and documentation for relevant meetings.
Support in managing orders, liaising with suppliers and procurement where required.
To support equipment management, ensuring routine servicing is arranged and support with fault reporting and resolution.
Provide active support for documentation and audit to support training, Health and Safety, and compliance with ISO15189:2022 quality standard.
Support management of the archive tissue.
Plan own day-to-day tasks and duties.
Communicate with clinicians, managers, administrative staff, suppliers, external agencies, and representatives of other Health Boards.
Use your own initiative when dealing with queries and concerns internally and/or externally, for example resolving specimen queries.
