About the Role

  • Assist with the delivery and distribution of stock and equipment.
  • Ensure efficient and safe storage of goods and equipment.
  • Supervise catering areas set-up and break-down.
  • General stock movement - beverages, frozen, and dry goods.
  • Ensure cellars and bars are clean and in optimal condition.
  • Support with event day set-up and clear down of multiple areas and facilities.
  • Assist in monthly stock take.
  • Aid with the set-up of the full cellar operation including keg movement, gas supply, and product merchandising.
  • Comply with the Club uniform policy and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

If you have experience or an interest in developing your skills in stock management, stock control, health & safety, and food hygiene as a Cellar Porter apply for this role today!

  • Comfortable to walk and stand during the shift and carry out frequent manual handling tasks.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible.
  • Respect for Health and Safety procedures.
  • Good command of English with the ability to communicate confidently.
  • Basic numeracy skills – ability to count and record various items of stock in large quantities.
  • Honest, reliable, and hardworking.
  • Ability to organise your time and workload.
  • Due to the nature of event days, weekend and evening work will be required.

Desired Skills

  • Previous experience in a similar stock management role or warehouse/bar environment
  • Basic COSHH qualification/knowledge.
  • Basic Food Hygiene knowledge including Food Hygiene Level 2.
