MDCV UK have a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to experiance working within the Wine and Vineyard / Toursim and Hospitality industry for the summer season.

MDCV UK

MDCV UK has a vision to bring the finest English and Proven??al wines to the UK market. We have a long history of producing award-winning Provence Ros?? and English Sparkling Wines, with an extensive infrastructure, both in France and the UK. We will be the largest producer of wine in each of these regions by 2024, with a combined production of over 10 million bottles annually.

Our French estates span over 1,000 acres and are already established in many global markets, with sales of over 4 million bottles. In the UK, we are establishing the largest single vineyard site, based in Kent, and plan to be in full production from 2025.

As a business, we strive for innovation and use many cutting-edge techniques in our vineyards and winemaking. The ambition and scale of what we do allows us some of the most efficient operations in the world, while still producing high quality wine of award-winning standard.

Key responsibilities

Based predominately at Silverhand Cellar Door. Your role is essential in supporting the Tourism team to complete wine tasting and tours whilst completing wine sales.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct tours and tastings at the vineyard, providing an engaging and informative experience.
  • Represent Silverhand Estate at various events, tastings, and promotions.
  • Educate customers and clients about our wines, vineyard history, and production processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Be responsible for high conversion of wine sales at the cellar door
  • Be able to work in a number of different customer-facing environments within the Silverhand Estate visitor experience.
  • Gather customer feedback and provide insights to improve our products and services.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Promote Silverhand Estate as a tourist destination, highlighting local attractions and experiences.
  • Setup, operate and clear-down special events, such as wine festivals, harvest celebrations, and culinary experiences.
  • Operating the opening and closing procedures of the shop to ensure security and brand quality.
  • Managing stock levels through stock counting and sampling off wine to ensure
  • Keeping the shop presentable and tidy, keeping with our premium brand image.

Requirements

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames.
  • Passion for wine and the wine industry.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
  • Previous experience in sales, marketing, or hospitality is a plus alongside public speaking abilities.
  • Organised, dependable and detail-oriented team player.
  • Excellent personal presentation and a professional attitude.
