My client, a beautiful and historic landmark events venue in London, is looking for a Cellar Assistant to join their growing and friendly team. The Cellar Assistant will be responsible for assisting with planning, placing orders, and preparing drinks for various events, as well as supporting Managers in setting up bars, receptions, and running events while delivering the highest possible beverage service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with receipt, storage, issue, and rotation of cellar supplies
  • Ensure stock records are up to date
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as stock transfers, drink orders, and processing supplier invoices
  • Help set up bars and tills and operate them during events
  • Oversee small events on an ad hoc basis
  • Brief and supervise staff regarding wine service
  • Monitor and maintain cellar temperatures
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in hospitality as a bartender or wine waiter seeking the next step
  • Knowledge of wines and beverages with a desire to learn more
  • Experience preparing beverages and setting up bars for small events
  • Strong numeracy and customer service skills
  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude
  • Able to maintain and develop relationships
