Job description

This post holder will provide a specialist service within the Community Eating Disorders Service, CAMHS, to young people and their families. This is a community-based post, located within the countywide
Community Eating Disorders Service (CEDS) Bedfordshire and Luton CAMHS, offering flexible, evidence-based episodes of care, assessments, and treatments for all eating disorder presentations and co-morbidities.

The role will include the provision of highly specialist advice/consultation, psychological assessment, liaison with other agencies, psychology interventions, clinical supervision, line management, and teaching of staff and/or other professionals.

The post holder will be an experienced psychologist with substantial knowledge in the field of child and adolescent mental health. They will clinically supervise the work of trainee psychologists and other psychologists as needed, and offer management supervision to other team members.

The post holder will need to work flexibly within the team and be able to design individually tailored intervention programs based on client needs, with clear analysis of causes of symptoms and a formulation-based approach, using evidence-based components and applying regular validated outcome measures. The post holder may also contribute to service rotas, including being the clinician of the day.
