Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a CE&I Digital Design Lead to shape the delivery of digital engineering across major UK projects. You will governance standards, coordinate multidisciplinary CE&I design, and drive automation and model quality in regulated environments.

You will mentor CE&I BIM designers, implement Revit templates and content libraries, and ensure alignment with information management frameworks while operating in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit with CE&I modelling capability.
• Experience delivering CE&I design information within a BIM or model-based design environment.
• Experience in BIM Lead or Digital Design Lead roles with technical leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of CE&I systems integration in multidisciplinary projects.
• Experience developing modelling standards, templates, QA procedures, and digital governance.
• Ability to translate engineering intent into practical digital solutions.
• Experience reviewing model quality and deliverables in regulated environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience creating and managing Revit families, templates, and content libraries.
• Experience using Navisworks for coordination and clash detection.
• Advanced knowledge of Dynamo scripting and digital automation.
• Experience with DiRoots tools: SheetLink, TableGen, FamilyReviser, ProSheets.
• Delivery of projects aligned with ISO 19650 information management principles.
• Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit.
• Formal BIM/Digital Engineering/ISO 19650 training and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance, development, and continuous improvement of CE&I digital design standards, templates, and workflows.
• Act as technical authority for CE&I Revit-based delivery, guiding modelling standards and quality requirements.
• Develop and maintain CE&I Revit templates, content libraries, equipment families, metadata, and schedules.
• Coordinate CE&I design within multidisciplinary projects ensuring integration across disciplines.
• Resolve complex spatial, system, and interface challenges within federated models.
• Establish model assurance processes, audits, and ISO 19650-compliant information management.
• Lead development of digital automation tools and workflows to improve efficiency.
• Provide mentoring and technical leadership to CE&I BIM designers and technicians.
• Collaborate with Information Management teams to align digital delivery with BIM frameworks.

We’re looking for a CE&I Digital Design Lead to shape the future of digital engineering delivery across major projects in some of the UK’s most regulated and safety-critical environments. This is an opportunity for someone who thrives on improving standards, solving technical challenges, and influencing how digital design is delivered across multidisciplinary teams.

You’ll play a key role in leading CE&I digital delivery, ensuring design models, standards, and workflows are consistent, coordinated, and aligned with project and regulatory requirements. Working closely with engineers, project managers, and Information Management specialists, you’ll help drive innovation, quality, and continuous improvement across our digital delivery capability.

Your role

• Lead the governance, development, and continuous improvement of CE&I digital design standards, templates, and workflows.

• Act as the technical authority for CE&I Revit-based delivery, providing guidance on modelling standards, quality requirements, and best practice.

• Develop and maintain CE&I Revit templates, content libraries, equipment families, metadata, schedules, and modelling standards.

• Coordinate CE&I design within multidisciplinary engineering projects, ensuring seamless integration with mechanical, civil, and architectural disciplines.

• Resolve complex spatial, system, and interface challenges within federated design models.

• Champion quality by establishing model assurance processes, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with project information requirements and ISO 19650 principles.

• Lead the development of digital automation tools and workflows using Dynamo and other productivity solutions to improve efficiency and consistency.

• Provide mentoring, technical leadership, and guidance to CE&I BIM designers and technicians.

• Work closely with Information Management teams to ensure digital delivery aligns with wider BIM and information management frameworks.

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence and guide others.

• Experience creating and managing Revit families, templates, and content libraries.

• Experience using Navisworks for model coordination, review, and clash detection.

• Advanced knowledge of Dynamo scripting and digital automation.

• Experience using DiRoots tools including SheetLink, TableGen, FamilyReviser, and ProSheets.
